Make sure you bring a puncture kit as I got a puncture from the thorns on the bridle path near the lake. My spare innertube save the day.

Sheepwash Nature Reserve is a haven for wildlife in the middle of the urban landscape. With young woodland, grassland, pools, streams and the River Tame linking the various habitats, the reserve supports a wide variety of flora and fauna. Sheep were once grazed on the meadows and there was a sheep wash (hence the name). The landscape was then exploited for its mineral deposits. However, in 1981, the ravaged site was reclaimed as a natural landscape once again.

Great MTB trail however very badly look after. The council seem to not care about it. Branches sticking out with nettlesn hanging off, many other dangerous cautions. Please be careful on this trail, blue trail seems to be best looked after, the red and black have very narrow paths full of hedges unable to drive through.

Sandwell valley county park is a great place to visit if you like cycling. They have a wide range of surfaced and unsurfaced tracks to suit all. Theres a pump track and a 3k Mountain bike track called the miners trailif you fancy pushing yourself .also if you forget to bring your bike there's a hire shop onsite.

A great place to rest and be thankful for the fantastic views of nature and wildlife.

Skirt around it along National Cycle Network Route 5 on any kind of bike, or circle it for a fun gravel loop

This pool is slightly bigger than the upper pool and has few more wild birds on it because of it secluded position in the park

Excellent place to take the kids to see the local wild birds in a calm environment. You will find it to the left of the main carpark
