⚒️ The Friedrich-Heinrich coal mine (later part of the Bergwerk West combined mine) in Kamp-Lintfort was one of the most magnificent and important mines in the Ruhr region. It is considered the "Pearl of the Lower Rhine" and has shaped the face of the city like no other institution.

This café and beer garden is highly recommended. Delicious, hearty food, just as you'd expect from a farm. You can sit in the rustic dining room or in one of the two garden areas.

A beautifully landscaped park that doesn't seem to be quite finished yet. Work is still being done on the former mine site...
