Nice lake that feels like being in the middle of wilderness, but is less than an hour walk from nearest parking lots. Suitable for a refreshing dip! There is also a small open cabin (autiotupa) on the shore.

Sauna experience offered by the nearby hotel - 4 different saunas and a swimming area, definitely worth the experience and better than anything you can find in Helsinki at least. Among others there is a smoke sauna, and a "glass box" sauna with a 180° view of the lake (and sunsets).

It's simply an amazing feeling to stand on a huge frozen lake. A photo at the Yilläs swing is a must.
