The Forcella dei Corni is a crossing point between the Corni di Canzo peaks, located at 1,276 meters above sea level. Trail no. 5, which starts from Terz'Alpe, leads to this pass. From here, you can take several routes: left for the Corno di Canzo Occidentale, right for the Corno Centrale, or descend to the SEV Refuge. It's an excellent vantage point offering spectacular views. The trails that continue from here toward the peaks of the horns have steep and technical sections that require caution.

From the Forcella dei Corni you can choose whether to descend to the SEV Refuge or climb towards the Corno di Canzo Occidentale or the Corno Centrale.

I'm asking for info. On the komoot map there is (going up from the 25th anniversary via ferrata) a fork on the left. Is this fork located before the Passo della Vacca? Is it passable and can it function as an escape route? Thanks

Epic, historic climb. Twin of the harder climb to the Madonna del Ghisallo from Bellagio, more suitable for those who have just started. Short, but can hide several pitfalls especially in the final stretch.

The climb to the Madonna del Ghisallo starting from the Erba area is an alternative to the classic side from Bellagio. It is about 16 kilometers long with a difference in altitude of over 500 meters. The route passes through Canzo and Asso, partly following the Valassina, before the last stretch towards the famous cyclists' sanctuary.
