Wanda Mound, located in Krakow on the Vistula River, is one of the city's oldest monuments. It is estimated to have been built as early as the 7th-8th century, although some scholars suggest its origins may date back even further. According to legend, it is the burial place of Wanda, daughter of the legendary Krakus. The name of the village of Mogiła (now part of Krakow) is also associated with the mound. The origin and significance of Wanda Mound remain shrouded in mystery. It may be the burial place of the legendary princess, but it could also have had defensive, ritual, or astronomical significance. Some argue that the mound dates back to Celtic times and, along with Krakus Mound, formed part of the Celtic calendar system associated with the observation of sunrises and sunsets on the solstices.

The Three Crosses Hill, formerly known as the Cross Mountain, is a hill about 175 m above sea level, towering about 50 m above the centre of Kazimierz Dolny. It is part of the edge of the Nałęczów Plateau and is surrounded by valleys and ravines. It is known for the three crosses erected in 1708 to commemorate the victims of the plague; the current crosses date from 1852. The hill is covered with rare plants protected by law, and from the top there is the most famous panorama of the city and the Vistula valley. The entrance is from Zamkowa Street and is paid.

A short climb of just 1.5 km will take us to Krakow's Kościuszko Mound - a great viewpoint. The average gradient is 6.3%. Unfortunately, the surface is not in the best condition, and on weekends there can be a lot of traffic.

From the Kościuszko Mound there is a wonderful, the best, panorama of Krakow, but also the Krakow Upland, the Sandomierz Basin, the Wielickie Foothills, and even the Tatra Mountains (for the latter you need good weather). It is also a historic 19th-century fort, a real treat! The Mound is over 30m high, and is 333 meters above sea level. To visit all the exhibitions here, you need to buy a ticket.
