I learned that the operators of the Pandkagehuset will be closing this year. It will likely continue to operate until a buyer is found. It's a real shame, it was always a special experience here. I'm curious to see what a future owner will do with it.

Beautiful bridge. The floor is secured with wire mesh to prevent slipping, so you won't slip in rain or wet weather. 👍

Kvie Lake is located about 2 km north of Ansager in West Jutland and covers an area of approximately 30 hectares, making it one of only six lakes in the former Ribe County that are 30 hectares or larger. The lake was formed after the last Ice Age, about 12,000 years ago. Kvie Lake and the surrounding areas (47 hectares in total) were protected in 1947/1969 and offer a beautiful nature experience!

The Bindeballestien 36 is a scenic cycling route. When cycling this trail, be sure to bring a camera, as the path offers beautiful views of forests and lakes. It’s also a relatively easy route, making it suitable for cyclists of all levels.

Kvie Sø is located on Grindsted Hedeslette north of Ansager in Varde Municipality. Kvie Sø is a so-called lobelia lake. The name lobelia lake refers to the water plant two-piped lobelia, which has given its name to this rare type of lake in Denmark. In addition to the two-piped lobelia, the very rare aquatic plant yellow-green bream food also grows in the lake. Kvie Sø is protected because of its underwater plants. In 1989, Kvie Sø was selected as one of the lakes included in the intensively monitored lakes of the Water Environment Plan. Ever since, the lake has been frequently studied. The Danish Environmental Protection Agency has monitored the lake's physico-chemical conditions and plants and animals intensively since 1989, when Kvie Lake was selected as one of the Water Environment Plan's monitoring lakes.
