Nice view from the top. Good surface all the way to the top.

Snøfjellet's broad and panoramic summit is crossed during the Fjordruta on the stage between Storfiskhytta and Sollia. The ascent is grassy and mossy in its lower reaches before becoming rockier towards the top. There's not much by way of shelter up high, but on a calm day it's a great place to linger and take it all in.

Geitfjellet is a superb objective for a hike from Trondheim. At 1,365 feet (416 m) it provides excellent views across Trondheim's bay and beyond.

At 1,762 feet (537 m), Bosbergheia is one of the higher points in Bymarka and provides stunning views across the Trondheim Fjord. It can be linked with neighbouring Storheia to make a thoroughly satisfying round.

At 4,370 feet (1,332 m), Forolhogna is a fine summit in the national park of the same name, as well as it's highest peak. It occupies an enviable position above the Forollsjøen in a wild feeling landscape.

Vassfjellet is a winter park during the cold season, with slopes for snow sports enthusiasts. In the summer, it's a fine hike that's only a stone's throw from Trondheim.

Melanakken is a superb objective for an adventurous run. The steep pull up to the summit rewards with excellent views across Åfjord and beyond – a picture of fjords, peninsulas and islands.

Storheia provides gorgeous views across the Bymarka Nature Reserve and the fjord below. It features on the Top 7 route, a challenging hike that takes in Trondheim's seven peaks in one day.
