First up the steep, bumpy Maltzanstraße past the old Russian barracks, then continue along an even steeper forest trail to the summit. Once you reach the top, a meadow with benches and the Heroes' Grove awaits you.

It is beautifully hilly here at the southern end of the lake.

you can only get here on foot, there is no cable car here. It's not that crowded either

Although there are no 3,000m peaks here, you can still work up a sweat on the summit trail. But the hardships are rewarded with great views.

Be sure to check out the ski jump! For 2 euros you can also go up and on the way up there is a kind of small museum with photos and reports.

Nice area for walking and cycling.

The main path through the Märkische Bergwanderpark runs on the Oderlandweg between Falkenberg (Mark) and Altranft. Individual sections also follow the tower hiking trail and the Theodor-Fontane-Weg. Our "small low mountain range" attracts with hills, deeply cut gorges and valleys, four observation towers, the Watzmann Cross and the legendary Teufelssee, the Thuringian view and the House of Nature Care with the only nature conservation museum in Germany, the health trail "Take a breath" with Kneipp Route at the mud bath and the geological nature trail in Altranft. In the Märkisches Bergwanderpark you will find all the ingredients for relaxing and equally eventful hikes and excursions.
