The windmill at Julita gård was built in 1855 and is of the Dutch type with a rotating hood. It has an octagonal shape in four floors consisting of a post structure and facades covered with tarred chippings. The hood extends over the facade of the building and from this the shoulder protrudes to the large wings. The hood consists of a dome roof with thicker wood shavings as a covering, it is now this roof that is to be renovated. The millwork is largely preserved and consists of a so-called star wheel mechanism that drives the millstones from below. The windmill was in operation until 1909 when some of the millstones were moved to the steam saw, where a new mill had been installed.

Quiet and pleasant swimming area with small sandy beach. There is space with the possibility to set up tents. Toilets are available.
