A really nice walk. Very pleasant in the undergrowth. A "mini cave" kicks things off, and then there's the Holy Grail. Wow. Be careful, there's no signal on site.

The Gave du Macardau flows here through a beautiful high valley. Just before Refuge Wallon is a hidden waterfall and there are nice places to rest by the stream.
