I've personally lived in this city for much of my life and it has a very special feeling. This church that is on the top, where there is a beautiful view, it is well worth going up and having a look, there are several places with benches where you can take a break and enjoy :)

A peaceful and beautiful bird-rich lake that offers stunning views on both sides of the bridge. Part of the Selsø estate, it's a wonderful place to stop for a break, especially early in the morning or later in the day. Don't miss it.

If you follow the Isefjord trail, you will come a little further north to a primitive overnight site. With the forest at the back and a view over the Isefjord towards Hornsherred, it must be one of Denmark's most beautiful campsites. The site, which cannot be booked, is located on the fishermen's old landing site. The local fishermen had the right to have their boats lying on the beach. Here they cleaned and dried their nets and stored the bottom net stakes. In the past, eels, herring and flatfish were mainly caught. Today, eels and shrimp are caught in the fjord, but there are no more local commercial fishermen left in Kongsøre Forest

A little further north along Isefjordstien you come across Tingstedet, which is in fact a long dolmen from the Neolithic. The name suggests that it was once thought that the stone setting was an old courthouse. Part of the dolmen has crashed down the slope and into the fjord.

After the death of Queen Margrethe d., The Kalmar Union slowly disintegrated. This caused a number of pirates in Denmark and Sweden. At one of the old dilapidated castles on the Eastern Ferry, such a pirate set himself up - his name was Børre. He housed around the Isefjord. Børre was caught and hanged, and after hanging, he was beheaded and his head put on a stage at Næset. The nose is therefore called Børreh head in memory of the pirate Børre. In the spring of 2014, the association KulturBehoIderen put up a sculpture of Børre on the Næset. /////// After the death of King Margrethe I, the Kalmar Union slowly collapsed. It led to the fact that a number of pirates came to Sweden as well as Denmark as well. In this dilapidated castle on the east coast of Orø, one of these pirates lies down. Is trug the Nam Børre and company his robberies in Isefjord. After all, they should be caught. After they were first hung, they were entrapped and his head was fastened to the end of a rod, which would then be made public. This place is called Piraten Børre-Kopf. Here, in 2014, I created a sculpture of ihm.
