If you are not in good physical shape or your knees do not allow you to climb slopes, it is not recommended. To get there, the route is marked by road and is shaded, although the environment is very very beautiful

Smooth climb and good road from Prioro. Steeper in the last kilometers but shaded on its northern side, although with a bumpier road and very rough asphalt.

As of today (May-24) it is closed waiting for a renovation (scheduled for July-24).

This is another small town not far from Guardo that you could pass through during a mountain bike route. An interesting fact that not many know is that Villalba de Guardo was classified in 2019 as the town with the highest air quality in Europe, that is, the cleanest air in Europe.

Guardo is a great place to start an adventure because it is the gateway to the Montaña Palentina Natural Park. It sits on the banks of the Carrión river.
