This idyllic lake, created at the end of the 18th century, is a testament to the skill of the people of that time who built it to power a mill wheel. Surrounded by the fresh air and the gentle rippling of the water, the Griesel Mill Pond is a place of life. If you look closely, you can see fish jumping out of the water while ducks leisurely swim around and dragonflies glitter in the sun. This pond is not only a witness to history, but also a vibrant biotope. From the Grieselův rybník, a wonderful panorama opens up, inviting you to walk along the Kamenice stream in a steep valley full of natural beauty. The path is easily accessible and a real highlight, especially for families with children. Particularly popular with the Czechs, the route leads downstream to a natural pool that is part of a campsite but is still open to all. For the more adventurous, the circular walk around Pauline Pond beckons with a walk through the old water tunnel of the Griesel Mill. A rickety footbridge in front of the Naiad Cave and the breathtaking view over the pond make this place an unforgettable experience. There may have been a time when gondola rides were common here and the mill served coffee and cake. Those days may have passed, but the romance of the pond lives on and is waiting for you to discover it.

The Grieselmühle pond was created for the Grieselmühle to compensate for fluctuating water levels. Later, when the mill was closed, there were gondola rides and coffee and cake in the mill. But that's long gone ... it remains a romantic pond.
