The section between the White Bridge (L96) and the Rabental junction is likely to be challenging for the average hiker, as it has been ploughed up by wild boar and fallow deer in places, and is heavily overgrown and bushy due to infrequent use. The trail also contains sections that can quickly become muddy and deep in wet weather. Those who don't mind all that might find it quite enjoyable. This section is part of the Bode-Selke Trail, which connects the Selke near Güntersberge with the Bode near Treseburg.

Very steep lift. Tickets for bikes and cyclists can be purchased at the valley station. For bikers, the best option would be to park at the top of the mountain, which offers great views and a reasonable price.

The hiking trail is heavily overgrown and a very narrow path leads along here. Beware of ticks and please wear sturdy shoes 😉

Not an easy route at the moment.

A really great path to Thale, always along the Bode. Be careful, even if the ground is dry with lots of rocks, it gets slippery very quickly. Please wear sturdy shoes.
