The village of Vichel, located in a charming landscape on the edge of the Rhinluch, was originally planned as a circular village and has largely retained this original form. The manor house, a representative two-storey plastered building in the style of an Italian country villa, was built in its current form around 1850. At the same time, an impressive landscape park was created behind the manor house, which dates back to a baroque garden. The Quast family had been the patron of Vichel and the surrounding villages since the 15th century.

The von Bredows were the lords of the Vietznitz manor for many centuries. Originally in one hand, it was gradually divided among several separate families of the Bredow family. Eventually, two shares in the Vietznitz manor were created, one part belonging to the Bredows-Friesacker line and the other part to the Bredows-Landiner line. The Vietznitz manor was owned by the von Bredow family until 1936.

Since 2009, Ribbeck Castle, which was built in neo-baroque style as an extension of the "double-roof house" from Theodor Fontane's famous ballad, has been shining in its original splendor above the picturesque village ensemble of the former estate.

The lovingly restored Ribbeck Castle on Ribbeck in the Havelland region, with its pear tree made famous by Theodor Fontane, as well as the old Ribbeck Church, the rectory garden, and the Old School—who hasn't seen them? Hans Georg Henning von Ribbeck built the castle in 1893 in neo-Baroque style. The castle's extraordinary ambiance creates a dignified setting for an unforgettable wedding. Upon request, the bride and groom can arrive in a wedding carriage right up to the castle entrance. The wedding room on the first floor accommodates approximately 60 guests.

The open-air events in the castle are highly recommended. The annual theater performances are always well attended and lovingly staged. There are very nice cafés and restaurants around the castle. The Ribbäcker offers good and affordable dishes.
