The imposing medieval castle of Roure, made up of a square keep and two main buildings, has been classified as a historic monument since 1975.

There are really great guest rooms in this castle. Breakfast and dinner are served in the knight's hall. A very special experience at acceptable prices. The tavern in the castle courtyard can be visited by all hikers, as can the castle chapel.

This castle is located on a rocky spur which dominates the upper valley of the Lot. It was destroyed by the Huguenots during the wars of religion. Of the former seat of the family of the barons of Tournel, only ruins remain. They are impressive, as several towers are still standing. Restoration work takes place regularly in order to preserve this historical heritage.

Grézes, on the flanks of the Truc de Grèzes, has been occupied by humans since the Neolithic period. A Gallic oppidum was built on the summit of Truc, then later a castrum replaced it on the site of the current village and evolved in the Middle Ages with the expansion of the castle.
