The residence of the Marquis d'Huxelles, built between 1606 and 1625, is home to the most sumptuous Louis XIII apartment preserved in France. Fireplaces, ceilings and wood panelling were painted, carved and gilded with sumptuous exuberance for the favourite of Queen Marie de Medici. Paintings, tapestries and period furniture complete this seductive evocation of "château life" at the time of the "Three Musketeers". The tour also reveals a monumental stone staircase (20 metres high), an 18th century kitchen and the opulent 1900s salons of an opera director. The garden, in the spirit of the Baroque period, offers 12 hectares of flowerbeds, a large boxwood labyrinth with aviary-belvedere, vegetable garden, green theatre, water features and remarkable trees.

The third president of France (Patrice de Mac Mahon (1808-1893)) was born here. Weddings are still held here regularly.

The castle's origins date back to the late 14th century. Its current form dates from the first quarter of the 18th century. There is also an old Italian theater preserved in its original condition. This superb Renaissance-style castle was the birthplace of Marshal Mac Mahon, one of the first presidents of the Republic. The setting will not leave you indifferent.

This beautiful ensemble has its origins at the end of the 12th century. It underwent significant transformations during the 15th century, notably to make it habitable. The castle is open to visits without appointment in July and August (closed on Mondays). Outside of this period, only planned group visits are possible. The estate also offers tastings and a treasure map to create with the family.
