This place of worship, the chapel "Saint-Michel-de-Cousson", was dedicated to the Archangel Michael. Mont Chiran is a high mountain peak at an altitude of 1,905 m (6,250 ft) above sea level, located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in southern France. Located in the Verdon Prealps, in the heart of the Verdon Regional Nature Park, the challenging path to the summit is narrow and unpaved.
