The Occitan town of Lectoure is one of the stations that we reach or cross as pilgrims on the Way of St. James (Chemin de Saint-Jaques), the VIA PODIENSIS. It is the goal of the 19th stage (according to the count of the "Rother") coming from St.Antoine, the next day it goes on to Condom.

Large bastide with two arcaded squares and two historic centres, located on the old ridge road which links Gascony to the Pyrenees. Placed on a plateau overlooking the Arratz valley, the vialleg invites you to stroll. A few kilometers from the city center, you can also enjoy the Saint-Clar swimming lake!

Medieval village classified among the "most beautiful villages of France". You enter the village through a very beautiful arched doorway to discover small streets lined with tall, colorful stone and half-timbered houses built around the Saint-Vincent church. Do not miss the bookstore which is a nugget and which serves delicious sandwiches!

Take a walk in the town of Lectoure, home to the Saint-Gervais Saint-Protais Cathedral and the Carmelite Chapel of Lectoure.

The town of Lectoure is located on an old oppidum, so it is visible from afar. It is located in a part of the Gers department nicknamed "French Tuscany". No less than ten buildings within the walls of the old town are on the list of historical monuments.
