The detour to the waterfalls is definitely not recommended during the high season - just before the waterfall, the path gets so narrow (including stairs, overhanging rocks at chest height, etc.) that a mega traffic jam automatically forms and nothing goes back and forth . It's definitely not worth it for that, nor is it the spectacular place you'd expect from social media tips. Not for people with claustrophobia or small children, dogs, etc. Further up, the hiking trail leads past a much nicer place where the waterfall begins, where you can rest with plenty of space and wade between smooth stones in the rock pools and watch yourself the water makes its way down.

The waterfall can be reached from Talloire in a good 50 minutes. The path leads through the forest and is therefore also feasible on hot days. The waterfall itself is impressive too. You can get very close to it via the well-secured path.
