The mountain restaurant is called Hinteregg – it even says so in the photo above the entrance! Wednesday and Thursday are rest days and the restaurant is closed.

Beautiful mountain restaurant with overnight accommodation. We spent our last night there on our long-distance hike from Tarifa (Spain) to Switzerland and can highly recommend the accommodation.

Small mountain farm slightly off the beaten track

The direct connection via the Gschliff can now be committed via the newly created rope bridge between Niederwiler Stierenberg and the Hofbergli. The tedious detour around the slide zone is finally history. Unfortunately, the Hofbergli restaurant is temporarily closed due to a change of hosts.

Wanted to stop there I was looking forward to a good dessert the whole hike up to the alp, got there and saw that everything was full outside, well no problem inside, there was still space after sitting down, communication was still good with the staff then came the one and said very toxic in here is not served because it was too much stress we then left without consuming "a shame"👎🤨

The rest at the Hofbergli is always worthwhile. The food is wonderful and the service very friendly.

Very friendly staff and good, inexpensive food. A visit to the beautiful sun terrace is always worthwhile.
