There are quite a few churches in Oberwart. This one is a particularly beautiful, classic example. I didn't go inside, but I really liked it as I walked by.

Light footwear is sufficient to reach this place.

Worth seeing

There aren't many of these in Austria.

Wonderful chapel located in the forest, for inner reflection, relaxation and unwinding. According to legend, the water that springs from there has a positive effect on eye diseases when you clean your eyes.

Here you cycle directly along the Lafnitz. The banks are densely overgrown, so you don't always have a view of the river. However, there is a bridge at this point from which you can get a good view of the riverbed with its incredibly clear water.

Not a highlight in the true sense of the word that you would definitely want to visit. But if you need a replacement tube, it's good to know that there are bicycle tubes available at the car park of the bathing lake.

Fallow deer and humans: Fallow deer are considered to be very suitable for keeping in enclosures. They are very undemanding and trust people. Fallow deer are also often kept in parks because they are very tolerant.
