Furthermore, it is interesting from a settlement and tribal history perspective, as the very old noble families from Coburg, Altenburg, the Gera/Weida (Reuss) area, Meiningen, Schwarzbach, and many others also developed and merged their origins and family connections here. This period stretches back to / around / from approximately the 8th to 9th centuries.
