The view into the Guldental is great.

Coming from Langenbruck, it is only a small pass, but with a magnificent view down to Mümliswil. In the opposite direction, you climb a few meters in altitude, but Langenbruck itself is hidden behind a small forest and down the valley towards Holderbank / Balsthal. You can rest a little off the road on a bench under two trees (also with the best view down to Mümliswil)

A pass that surprised me! I struggled to get into the rhythm at first (pretty flat but some really dry ramps!) and then some steep switchbacks in full sun! There is a fountain at the Scheltenmühle (visit 6/23)

Nice quiet pass with slightly steeper climbs

Somewhat hidden and slightly above the Hammerweg, a partly narrow, then wider and sometimes not always immediately recognizable path runs more or less parallel to it, over a forest ridge. Here you move a little off the excursion paths that cover the tourist hotspot Weissenstein. Although the view under the dense foliage of the trees and bushes on fields and meadows is limited, it is nice and cool here in summer and you can enjoy not being constantly babbled by the chatter of excursion tourists. (In general, however, the following applies to the Weissenstein; "You are rarely if ever alone")

Quiet, low-traffic, steady ascent. Has a nice incline and good driveable roads. As a recommendation, I would first drive the Teufelsschlucht from Hägendorf via Bärenwil, then through Langenbruck and to the Mümliswil viewpoint. You will also receive the Hauenstein Pass as a gift. Definitely recommended. Is a super great area with a racing bike and a good basic shape.

This little gem of a pass is magnificent with very little traffic, you might see the military doing some exercises here but that is about it. A lot of natural beauty and excellent panorama view.
