From Monte Corno, you have a beautiful view of the entire plain, all the way to the Apennines, Venice, and the Adriatic Sea on clear days! In reality, the summit of Monte Corno, its highest point (1,383 m), is located just to the north, within the rock labyrinth; but here, the monument enjoys a panoramic position and is also visible from the plain. The monument, 26 meters high and composed of four intertwined concrete sails, was erected in 1970 in memory of the partisan fighting and roundups that took place in these areas during World War II.

The first plans for the construction of a refuge on Pasubio date back to 1907. However, they were not realized until after the First World War, when the Schio section of the CAI began to build a refuge in memory of the soldiers who had fallen on Pasubio. Beautiful (a bit brutalist in architecture) refuge on Monte Falcone

How can you write that the Gingerino refuge is really wonderful? I've never been there but if it's the one in the photo, let's talk about it! 😱

A karst depression vaguely reminiscent of an amphitheater, with the forest road surrounding it and the white rocks emerging from the green meadow: an extremely evocative and peaceful bucolic spot! The entire area is characterized by a wide variety of karst phenomena: unique furrowed fields are everywhere, sometimes reaching 2-3 meters deep; within a radius of 200 meters are numerous underground cavities that descend to a hundred meters; the busa itself is a karst depression.
