A beautiful walk in the mountains, you have a panoramic view of the Bisenzio Valley and you enjoy so much fresh air, my wife and I did it with our daughter in a sling, it's not a route for snickers, you need to know how to go in the mountains, but it's very peaceful.

From the village of Cavarzano, in the municipality of Vernio, this path starts at Alpe di Cavarzano, a pleasant, green and panoramic place.

The refuge, located at an altitude of 1,001, is a destination frequented by Prato and the entire valley. The location is beautiful, surrounded by a beautiful meadow and splendid beech woods. It is owned by the Emilio Bertini section of Prato.

Halfway for everyone for a short walk, interesting panoramic point on the Prato side.

A really great hut - great food

Excellent bivouac. Open and usable with adjacent source. When I passed, a very kind young boy was taking care of it by cleaning the structure. As in the photo, in front of the bivouac there is a large green space that can be used for a tent (obviously in compliance with the rules and philosophy of "bivouac").

The bivouac is open and usable, there are no beds. When I passed in early July 2024 it was in a not too well looked after condition. Many annals and spider nests, rightly so, given the little use and also little known. There is space for 2 max 3 tents (1/2 person).

Visitor Center and hiking refuge of the Acquerino Cantagallo Nature Reserve. Cascina di Spedaletto is located 883 meters above sea level and rises between the Limentra valley and the Agna valley. It can be reached either from Tobbiana di Montale, or from Pistoia along the Pistoia-Riola provincial road, or, on foot or by bike, from Luogomano through the Acquiputoli Pass. Here a hospital was built which was dedicated to SS Bartolomeo a Antonino. The farmhouse stands right on the remains of the Spedale. On the side stands the oratory of Sant'Anna, characterized by coats of arms and rosettes reminiscent of the Bardi Counts of Vernio.
