Beautiful mountain hut, friendly, easily accessible on foot and by mountain bike

sadly I couldn't do the entire Sommêtres's because of the fear of the people with me. Anyway, you can still enjoy the view and the place. Alway respect the space and grab your litter, there's people there if you don't know something and of course, explanations sheet are everywhere for you to understand in different languages.

This refuge is described as the most alpine in the entire Jura chain, which is not an exaggeration given the altitude, the simple and extremely comfortable furnishings and the view of the cliffs. The water comes from a cistern and should be boiled before use.

Very cool place to stay overnight, but you have to register beforehand and make a small contribution, which is totally fine.

If you are looking for a hiking adventure in the Jura mountains, you should visit the Refuge Arrête des Sommetres. Located on a rocky ridge overlooking a superb cliff, this refuge offers a panoramic view of the Jura mountain range, the Doubs valley, the Vosges and the Black Forest. It is open all year round, without reservation, and has 7 beds, a stove, toilets and a rainwater tank. The refuge is a privileged place to experience the alpine atmosphere of the Jura.

Beautiful, lovingly furnished hotel in the middle of a picturesque, very quiet and rural setting. Also ideal as a stopover on a Freiberge bike tour.

The Métairie Morat offers ideal conditions to either recover from previous exertions or to strengthen yourself before the last two climbs to the Chasseral. Great selection of cheese and bread from the house, fresh meat from the neighbors and a well-chilled beer, with the ringing of cowbells and cackling chickens, the operator casually asks him in an extensive conversation whether you still need electricity for the e-bike, that wouldn't be a problem. The products (and much more) can also be obtained directly. The house is a clear recommendation from me! 🍺🧀🍗👌🥇
