Ideally situated refuge hut. People have left helpful items like hand warmers, tea bags, plasters & saline flushes

Here we stand for a week at this nice cottage. It's nature pure. The landlord is very helpful. He is speaking perfect German. He drove with his classic mercedes jeep with us on top of the hills. A beautiful view. Children will love his dog- a golden retriever. 🥰

Superb Community run Bunkhouse. Secure bike storage. Three large en-suite rooms - see website for details. Well equipped kitchen/dining room. And a very effective drying room with dehumidifier. Olive Tree cafe and bakery (open daily till 1600) & Food shops nearby too.

This is the most awesome shelter you have ever seen! Frodo Baggins would be proud! There are picnic tables next to this extraordinary thatched, stone structure, so you can have your sustenance and beverage stop here, too.

One of my favourite bothies if you don't like roughing it, Over Phawhope is really cosy, with a wood-burning stove and two snug bedrooms with wooden sleeping platforms. Outside there's a stream, picnic table and even a composting loo - luxury!
