A wonderful hill that will reward in all weathers - but you do get the best views if the weather is good! Personally I have found the clockwise circuit better, but in either direction care is needed over the Horns.

This view across to Sgurr Fiona and the Corrag Bhuidhe pinnacles is IMHO sensational in its own right, but this is made even more special by its sudden appearance. When you climb An Teallach from Dundonnel this whole view is hidden right until the very last moment when you reach the stop of the steep bouldery slope very close to the summit. Slioch at 980m is a Munro in the North West Highlands. The summit occupies a commanding position overlooking Loch Maree offering amazing views in virtually all directions, but particularly south west towards the Torridon hills but also north and north east across Lochan Fada towards the remote hills of the Fisherfield Forest.
