The Church of St. Giragos (Saint Cyricus) or Surp Giragos Church is a historic Armenian Apostolic church in Diyarbakır, Turkey. It is the largest Armenian church in the Middle East. The church was confiscated by the Turkish government in 2016. The church was re-opened to the public on May 7, 2022, after renovations. [Wikipedia]

The Tigris Bridge (also: On Gözlü Köprü) near Diyarbakır leads over the Tigris and rests on ten arches. It is about three kilometers outside the city walls on the way south on the old road to Silvan. The bridge is 180 m long and 7 m wide and is made of black basalt stones. Because of its ten arches, it is also known as the bridge with ten eyes. [Wikipedia]

In the morning and evening you enjoy a fantastic view from/at the city walls. Make sure to climb at the top of walls. Locals meet there in the late evenings.
