1月 7, 2026, Suspension Bridge
Quick one-hour out-and-back. Sturdy shoes required. The rocks get slippery after your shoes get wet.

8月 17, 2024, Historic Stone Arch Bridge
Small park with the possibility of camping. Toilets and water available, a small cold stream for bathing and an old bridge as a small attraction. Entry to the park is free for cyclists and camping is allowed. Restaurants are theoretically right next to the park

9月 14, 2023, Enduro and Motocross Park
A park for motorcross bikes. Next to it is a tiny parkour that is also suitable for bicycles. It was still fun to do a few laps there. Be careful with thorny plants. There are many plants in the grass with huge thorns that can suck the air out of your tires.

9月 14, 2023, Yedigöze Waterfalls
A place to relax. You can swim in the river. It's super cold, but refreshingly good. You can grill in selected places and are surrounded by nature.

6月 28, 2022, Yılankale (Snake Castle)
Yılankale (also Yılan Kalesi, Turkish for "snake castle", popularly also Şahmiran Kalesi after Semiramis or after Şahmaran) is a medieval castle in the former Kingdom of Lesser Armenia and one of the best preserved Crusader-era castles in this region. It is located in Yılankale, a town of the same name in the Ceyhan district of the Turkish province of Adana, directly opposite the ancient ruins on Sirkeli Höyük. The castle got its name because according to a Turkish legend, the snake king lived here. Source: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yılankale

6月 28, 2022, Misis Bridge (Misis Köprüsü)
The bridge crosses the Ceyhan (Ancient Pyramus) between Yakapınar (Ancient Mopsuestia) and Geçitli. In the Middle Ages, Mopsuestia was a large city and the bridge was built on one of the busiest trade routes to the east. It was commissioned by the Roman Emperor Flavius Julius Constantius (better known as Constantius II) in the fourth century. It was restored by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I in the sixth century. It was renovated again in 743 and 840. The bridge suffered damage in the 1998 Adana - Ceyhan earthquake. According to a popular legend, Luqman, having discovered the Elixir of Life, dropped the receipt and herbs from Misis Bridge. Luqman had researched for years and found a recipe for immortality from 200 plants, the recipe in hand he wanted to cross the bridge. Then the devil came and shoved the recipe (book) out of his hand and threw it in the Misis. Source: Ufuk Molu and Ali Eralp and https://de.knowledgr.com/12075323/MisisBr%C3%BCcke

2月 24, 2022, Ulu Cami (Grand Mosque) – Ramazanoğlu Mosque
The Ulu Cami (Great Mosque) Mosque, also known as the Ramazanogullari Mosque, is located on Kizilay Street in the Seyhan district of Adana. The entire complex, formerly consisting of the mosque, a madrasa (Koran school), a mausoleum (Halil Bey's tomb) and a harem palace, was built between 1509 and 1541 on behalf of Halil Bey. The mosque is famous for its walls decorated with black and white marble and the tile ornaments in which the colors turquoise, navy and red dominate on the white background. Above the western gate there is a cupola and an inscription with two serpent reliefs. The minaret, decorated with colorful pictures, is structured by numerous colored stone bands. The building suffered damage during the Adana-Ceyhan earthquake in 1998 and was restored between 1998 and 2004. Since the completion of the repair work, the church has been open to visitors outside of prayer times. Source: https://www.holidaycheck.de/pi/moschee-ulu-cami/a8824f63-e1a1-3758-b96e-7e52db095462

2月 24, 2022, Bebekli Kilise (Saint Paul Church)
The Saint Paul Church (Turkish: Aziz Pavlus Kilisesi) is a formerly Armenian, now Roman Catholic church built from 1870 and completed between 1880 and 1890 on Cemal Gürsel Street on the "Square of January 5" (5 Ocak Meydanı) the southern Turkish port city of Adana. Located in the historic Mahalle Tepebağ of Seyhan district, the church is currently closed due to disagreements with the city government. The priest (başrahip) of the church is Francis Dondu. The 2.50 meter high bronze statue of Mary on the roof top above the front entrance is reminiscent of a small child, so that the Saint Paul Church is also popularly called Bebekli Kilise (“Church with Baby”). Since the Catholic Church does not receive any financial support from the state, the congregation had to convert their garden into a parking lot in order to receive income. Until the Armenian Genocide in 1915, the church was used by the Armenian community. Due to a lack of facilities, the church is also used by other Christians such as the city's evangelical community.
