A nice gravel/ grass trail to ride until you reach the quarry side, where it can be technically challenging for both mountain bikes and gravel bikes - if you are on a road bike, you will probably be walking this bit!

There is a nice 'cook out' style cafe called 'Inky's' at Golitha Falls at about 3-4 miles from the end of the route. This route is very muddy and floods easily in winter but still easily navigable.

We rode this trail on a bank holiday Monday and it was surprisingly quiet - well worth including!

A few lights in the tunnel brighten things up, but there are a few spots where visibility can be a little low.

The dam was built in 1968 to create the reservoir which provides drinking water and tops up the water levels of the River Fowey during the dry months. Once a small tributary of the River Fowey, Siblyback Lake now holds 3 billion litres of water.

The path around Siblyback Lake is hardpacked, suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs and at 5km long is the perfect run. The lake is set in Bodmin Moor so you can appreciate the beauty of the area without having to climb up any Tors.

Also known as Siward's Cross, Nun's Cross is one of many granite stone crosses across Dartmoor. The cross sits at the junction of two major tracks; the Abbots’ Way and the Monks’ Path, which link abbeys at Buckfast with Tavistock and Buckland. The cross stands close to Nun's Cross Farm, which can be seen from the junction. Although the meaning behind its more common name is unknown, the word Siward is carved into the stone, which is thought to refer to the Saxon Earl Siward, who once was a landowner around Tavistock.

Trevethy Quoit is a neolithic dolmen. With 5 standing stones and one large capstone, the burial chamber reaches an impressive 2.7m in height. The quoit is known locally as the giant's house.

Lovely old bridge, and weir in full flow.

Nice gravel track with technical sections on the climb past the cross. watch out for the drainage trenches across the tracks.
