Cerignola is an Italian town of 60,000 inhabitants in the province of Foggia in Puglia, located in the Ofanto valley south of the Tavoliere. It is the largest town in the Puglia region and in all of southern Italy.

The Incoronata Regional Park is a protected natural area of 1000 hectares in the Tavoliere delle Puglie, a few kilometers from Foggia. It preserves a forest of centuries-old downy oaks, lapped by the Cervaro torrent and is crossed by numerous paths that immerse themselves in the greenery of nature, however not very suitable for being covered by road bikes. Inside the protected area there is also the sanctuary of the Madonna Incoronata, a pilgrimage destination for devotees of the Black Madonna.

The Sanctuary of the Incoronata is a Catholic place of worship dedicated to the Black Madonna, who appeared in the year 1001 to a count and a shepherd in the Cervaro wood. Every year, on the last Saturday of April, the feast of the apparition is celebrated with a ride of angels and the offering of oil for the votive lamp. The sanctuary has a bronze crown hanging from the dome, an organ of 2000 pipes and the title of minor basilica.

It is worth taking a tour through the streets of the town of Stornara because since 2018, as part of a project called Stramurales, dozens of murals have been created by nationally and internationally renowned artists to decorate the facades of houses. They represent scenes of daily life, portraits, animals, landscapes and symbols. Some even have a social or ecological message.

Cerignola is a beautiful town in the Apulian hinterland on the southern edge of the Tavoliere delle Puglie. Of particular interest are the Cathedral of San Pietro Apostolo, also known as Duomo Tonti, and the Fosse Granarie, an absolutely unique archaeological area.

Ascoli Satriano is a small city of pre-Roman origins, historically the scene of important battles between Rome and Hannibal. The ancient village is accessed from the Porta di Sant'Antonio Abate, and through characteristic alleys you can visit the Basilica Cathedral Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Norman castle which was also the ducal palace, the Clock Tower and the Arch of Porta Nuova .

Castelluccio dei Sauri stands on the foothills of the Apulian sub-Apennines, dominating the lower Cervaro valley. From this panoramic terrace you can admire the view of the Tavoliere towards the Monti Dauni.

Rione Fossi is a district of Accadia which was abandoned in 1930 due to a strong earthquake. It was the original nucleus of the town, founded by the Lombards and enriched by Roman temples and palaces. Today it is a ghost town, a suggestive and timeless place, where you can see the houses and streets carved into the rock, the Byzantine church of Saints Peter and Paul and the remains of the castle and the ducal palace.
