Lake Hańcza is the deepest lake in Poland, with a maximum depth of 108.5 meters. It is located in the Suwałki Region, surrounded by the picturesque hills and forests of the Suwałki Landscape Park. The lake boasts crystal-clear waters, attracting not only anglers and kayakers but also divers from across the country. Cyclists can enjoy attractive, undulating trails around the lake, offering beautiful views of the lake and numerous erratic boulders. This is also the starting point of the "Poglacial Gully of Lake Hańcza" educational trail—a hiking trail approximately 10 km long that leads from Stara Hańcza, with its historic manor house and park, along the eastern shore of Lake Hańcza, and then through the Czarna Hańcza River valley to Turtul. The trail features shelters, campfire areas, and educational information boards.

The beach is accessed by an asphalt road from the village of Błaskowizna and a gravel road from the Łopuchowo side. The beach is sandy and the water is clean. Lake Hańcza is known. There is a shelter and a place for a bonfire. In Błaskowizna it is possible to spend the night in a tent.

The name of this attraction is not accidental. We chose this section thinking that it might be attractive and we were right, because it is very attractive but not for cyclists, unless for lovers of extreme riding. To be honest, we had to walk our bikes for a significant part of this section. The path is very narrow and in some places overgrown with dense vegetation, but it is still possible to complete it. The worst thing is that there are a lot of protruding stones of various sizes and protruding roots on the route, which make pedaling difficult and it is basically impossible to avoid them. Moreover, the path also runs along a slope and a moment of inattention may lead to a nasty fall. Therefore, I do not recommend this section for cyclists, but definitely for walkers. These difficulties are not visible in the photos (I was concentrating on avoiding obstacles), and it would be a pity if my warnings were confirmed. If someone doesn't believe me, try driving there and describe your feelings.

Beautiful views, clear water and blissful peace. It is true that this peace is not available in all places. This bank of the Hańcza is called rocky and it is suitable for cycling only in the place marked by me, looking from the direction of Błaskowizna. It gets worse, which I will describe in the next attraction, i.e. the hardcore episode.

Near the wild beach, on a dirt road, there is a ToyToj MOR, so you can relax.

True wilderness. It's a beautiful place, but it's probably worth booking more time than usual for the trip. From what we have learned, entry to this part of the park is free.
