Tour of Lake Ribou completed on August 1, 2025. I'd had it on my radar for years. A beautiful lake that provides fresh water to Cholet residents' taps. 11 km on a green-marked trail. Worth a look for its viaduct and numerous blackberry hedges.

The Étang de Péronne is a nature reserve in the heart of the forest. You can walk around the pond on a 2.4 km trail and admire the century-old oak trees, water lilies and various birds. The lake is home to many protected and endangered species; so be respectful and don't disturb them. You can also explore the surrounding woods, where you may encounter deer, wild boars or even hear the bellowing of a deer. L’Étang de Péronne is a hidden gem that will make you feel closer to nature.

The Nuaillé Forest is an ideal destination for hiking. This vast forest covers more than 3,000 hectares and extends over five municipalities. It is rich in history and biodiversity, as it witnessed the Vendée Wars and is home to many animal and plant species. You can discover the forest on foot by following the numerous trails that crisscross the massif. The Nuaillé Forest is a place where you can enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature.

The Étang des Noues is an artificial lake created from an old quarry. Today it is a popular place for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. You can take a 4km loop around the lake, taking in views of the water, forest and wildlife. Along the route, you will also find picnic tables, a playground, a fitness trail and a geocaching game. Whether you want to take a leisurely stroll, go out with the family or take on a sporting challenge, the Étang des Noues has something to satisfy all tastes.

There are playgrounds and places to eat at the lake. Water sports are possible on the lake, but swimming is unfortunately prohibited.
