It's a shame that it's impossible to cycle around the lake properly. The cows have made the path along the shore impossible to walk comfortably... what a shame.

A visit to Arosa is worthwhile at any time of year; in summer the lake is very beautiful to look at, but in winter it is frozen over.

The trail from Hörnli to Lake Urden is not easy at the top (S3). The closer you get to the lake, the easier it becomes. Still, it's best to admire this beautiful mountain lake with at least one shoe on the ground.

The Isel Reservoir, also known as the Arosa Reservoir or Iselsee, has been dammed since 1897. Initially, the dam wall was only two and a half meters high; after several elevations, it is now around twelve meters high. The electricity generated here covers the equivalent of the needs of approximately 2,500 households.

Beautiful lake which is frozen in winter.

The Untersee is the smaller and lower-lying of the two lakes located in the middle of the Arosa settlement area. Its name derives from this fact. The sister lake at 1734 m is the Obersee, with which it was previously directly connected via the Mittelbach.
