Lac de Bretaye is a peaceful high-altitude lake nestled at 1,800 meters in the Vaud Alps. Villeneuve on Lake Le Leman is a picturesque and charming village located on the shores of the beautiful Lake Geneva. It is surrounded by green hills and offers beautiful views of the lake and the Alps. Lake Aï offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. You'll need to climb approximately 2,300 feet of elevation gain, and be prepared to tackle tight switchbacks and loose rocks along the way. The reward is a refreshing swim in the crystal clear water of Lake Aï, a glacial lake that is one of the highest in the Alps. Don't forget to bring enough water, snacks and sunscreen, and enjoy this incredible trail race!

At Lake Retaud, you can cool off or have a picnic after your race. The trail takes you through mountain pastures, forests and pastures, with breathtaking views of the mountains and the valley. You will also pass by the charming chalet of La Marnèche, where you can taste local cheese and serac.

Before heading to the lake and running along its beautiful shores, take the time to run up to this slightly elevated point to admire the lake from this viewpoint with the mountains behind, it really is a treat.
