レナン駅は1856年、オクシデンタルバーン開通とともに開業しました。ローザンヌ方面の路線に位置し、成長を続ける西スイス鉄道網の一部でした。駅舎は、シンメトリーなファサードを持つ、グルンダーツァイトの典型的な建築様式を示しています。
