Cezan is a fortified village. The outer walls of the village houses form a surrounding wall. There are two towers left. There are few tourists who discover the place. There are so many castles and old villages or towns in the Gers.

It is a Gascon castle which has the particularity of being made up of a large keep. It is close to the Baïse, at a location which allowed a fording of the road leading from Auch to Eauze. Due to its strategic position, it must have had an important role. it was also to serve as protection for the adjacent mill.

This superb chateau is the centerpiece of a magnificent vineyard. Here you can run in the middle of the vines.

Free visit to the Château with an exhibition explaining the history and techniques used to make Armagnac. The old armory, with walls more than 2 meters thick, houses one of the Armagnac aging cellars. You can watch a movie about the vine and practice sensory animation with smell organs. The old kitchen from the 16th century surprises with the originality of the vault built like a baker's oven. The walk ends with a tasting of the estate's products, for sale in the castle shop.

A large part of the castle is open to visitors. In addition to many other rooms, the castle has a whisper room (echo room) with special acoustics. The high vaulted ceiling creates an echo that can be heard very well from one corner to the other. This room is rightly called the Salle d'Echo. There are also regular exhibitions of well-known painters, sculptors and other artists.

The interior of the castle is remarkably spacious and light with 19 different beautiful mosaic floors that are beautifully enhanced by the incoming sunlight. France has no other monument with so many of these beautiful authentic mosaic floors.
