Those who venture out to view Lake Wörthersee not just from the shore, but from above, are rewarded halfway up – not with a loud panorama, but with a quiet invitation. Two wooden loungers, weathered and tilted, as if they had thought their way through the years, stand among roots and moss, as if they already knew that here, it's not about design, but about simply being. The structure: slanted. The view: even more slanted. And precisely for that reason, so precious. Those who sit down do so not to sunbathe, but to sink in. Into the silence among the trees. Into the shimmering blue of the lake, which emerges between the trunks like a memory. The benches don't speak. At most, they creak. But they tell stories. Of hikers who paused briefly. Of conversations that were held – or avoided – here. Of people who wanted to contemplate the lake, not photograph it. You stay longer than planned. You say less than you thought you would. And you leave with the feeling that someone up there in the forest has thought of everything – even rest.

On the eastern shore of Lake Wörthersee, between the Lend Canal and Maiernigg, lies a very special piece of nature. The Lendspitz-Maiernigg nature reserve covers over 77 hectares and is home to rare birds, amphibians, and plants. If you enjoy walking or cycling, this is the place for you. There are even guided tours where you can learn fascinating facts about the wildlife.

Sun, turquoise water, up to 27° warm and the carefreeness of summer are the ingredients for a perfect day at the beach! To all sun worshippers & sandcastle architects, wakeboarders & beach volleyball players, pedal boaters & stand-up paddlers, beach bar flirters & back smearers: out onto the lake & into the clear and turquoise waters of Lake Wörthersee. A total of 31 public lidos (including 5 outdoor pools) on 4 lakes, as well as some smaller free lake accesses for quick cooling off, invite you to enjoy relaxation. All of the baths on Lake Wörthersee are well maintained, with shady trees and some with sandy beaches. The culinary range of the beach restaurants ranges from small snacks to a cozy brunch to a Mediterranean menu.
