The Almsee is beautifully situated and in the early morning, outside of the high season, a whole busload of hikers arrived, but they quickly dispersed. So that you can enjoy the peace and quiet at the Almsee. A bank was so far in the water that you could put your feet in the cold water while you could be warmed by the sun. In any case, that should be a goal for a day.

The circular path around the Gosausee is a beautiful walking path, which can be enjoyed with a view of the Dachstein. In winter the path is closed due to the risk of avalanches and falling rocks. It is best to start on the left side of the lake.
