The rest of Ebersberg Castle (Schlössle) is located in the middle of the forest above the Herrenbach reservoir. This castle was first mentioned in the 11th century and was probably used as a seat by the founder of the Adelberg monastery, Volknand von Staufen (1110-1181). Before 1410 the castle was demolished. The castle area is about 40x40 meters and is freely accessible - paths lead to the former location of the castle. Furthermore, relatively deep ditches and ramparts are clearly visible. The wall is all around.
