The mountain is located in the western part of the Eichsfeld district near the state border with Hesse. The Junkerkuppe is the highest point on the ridge path between the 🏰Hanstein Castle and the Teufelskanzel 😈. There are different ways to get to the ridge path, such as: B. the former Kolonnenweg up to Ministerblick and then on to Junkerkuppe. Or across the pond at Lindewerra and then up to the Höhberg. The most beautiful, but also longer route is from Wahlhausen via the Ahrenberghütte to the Ausgespann, on to the Teufelskanzel and then as described above.
