Beautiful, large swimming area. Spacious and well-designed. You can surf and boat on the adjacent lake. A paradise for anglers.

To us passersby, such a millpond, as it presents itself here, may seem ordinary, but there is another perspective: For example, in the world of Otfried Preußler (1923–2013), who became famous for his imaginative children's books, it looks quite different: Here, such a millpond is also the incredibly exciting habitat of a family of water sprites. His still-popular book, "The Little Water Sprite," tells wonderful stories of the adventures experienced by the family's youngest members. On an audiobook CD, the water sprite mother sings her son to sleep: "Little water sprite, close your eyes and let yourself rest a little, I'll sit here for a while and watch you sleep. May your dreams guide you and touch you wonderfully, and when you wake up again, a new year will begin for you."

Great Baggesee with an incredibly beautiful turquoise color. A dream landscape. There is a large lawn for sunbathing and fine sand for children to play in.

It is a wonderful tour to cycle around the quarry lake. You can see the beautiful color of the water from all sides. The swimming area with sand for the little ones to play in is also completely idyllic. A large lawn invites you to sunbathe or take a break. Absolutely recommendable this visit.

Absolutely beautiful natural paradise for the various fish and also the bird island is worth a visit. Bringing binoculars is recommended. There are beautiful paths around the lakes for hiking or cycling.

Ertinger bathing lake in the Schwarzachtalseen leisure center The five lakes are not natural lakes, they are remnants of gravel quarrying in the area in the 1960s. They got their name from the river that flows through them: the Schwarzach. The lakes are filled with the water of the Schwarzach and the groundwater. As the area was rehabilitated, it gradually became the leisure center it is today. This now also includes a restaurant with an attached kiosk, as well as toilets, showers and a DLRG boathouse. Due to the great demand from campers, a campsite and a mobile home parking space have been developed.
