I'm 12 and rode for the first time when I was 10. It's my favorite Alpine climb. All I can say is that it's best to take a break in the corner so you can fill up your bottles and go to the toilet if necessary.

The end of the iconic climb and a good stop for a rest. Plenty of bars and shops to be had. Can recommend Cycle Huez (https://www.cyclehuez.com/) if you're looking for some decent-quality souvenir cycle kit or a t-shirt. A much nicer selction than what you'll find down in Bourg D'Oisans.

Dutch corner, probably the most famous of the 21 hairpins, is home to this church, and on the opposite side of the road a thoughtfully placed public bike pump.
