Overall, a smooth and comfortable gravel route. A few sections are a bit bumpier. Certainly the best option for a leisurely climb towards the Vercors mountains, safe and secure, in a beautiful setting and somewhat shaded when the sun is beating down.

The passage of the landslide is done with portage (SPD wedges) the ascent at the end of the landslide on the Mortier tunnel side is deteriorating (drought/crowd) the staircase kindly built by local lovers is badly damaged. Such a shame that this closed road is not rehabilitated at least for the passage of 2 wheels ... it would be enough, as in Italy, to put up a sign stating that this access is dangerous and that its passage is at our own risk 🤷🏻♀️

Not far from Vorreppe, the Isère River flows around the Bec de l'Échaillon, which overlooks it at an altitude of 622 meters. This meander offers a magnificent view of this Vercors peak.

Very peaceful walk on the Via Chartreuse from the gorges of Crossey to Entre-2-Guiers. I saw 1 passage under 30-40cm of water in June 2024 during the heavy rain episodes
