Mónsul Beach is a beautiful, unspoiled beach with fine sand and crystal-clear water surrounded by volcanic rock formations.

The Cabo de Gata Salt Flats are a group of wetlands located in the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, in the province of Almería, Andalusia. These salt flats have a surface area of approximately 300 hectares and are the only salt flat in eastern Andalusia.

This abandoned farm is so special that all of Spain knows it. For starters, it is on the list of protected monuments and that says enough. On July 22, 1928, a murder took place here during a wedding which led to inspiration for a Drama written by the famous Spanish writer Federico Garcia Lorca. Moreover, the farm is located in the middle of the film set of several Westerns.

IN 1953 the mayor threw a stone. On the spot where the stone landed they built the much desired hermitage.    The building is not a standard that you see everywhere.  By the way, they always celebrate the romeria de la Virgen de Mar here in January. The second Sunday of the month this takes place on the beach in Almeria.

Depending on the weather, you have to watch out for jellyfish on this part of the beach
