Jam-packed and that on an average day… which means… a popular, beautiful rest area

Very nice place for a break. The hut is very spacious and therefore a bit dark. But there are also great places to rest outside the refuge.

The monastery pond is a private pond and belongs to the Landgasthof Klosterweiherhof. I spent a few nice days with her on very nice hikes and on my return I enjoyed cooling off in the monastery pond.

Very friendly reception, nice location. Closed on Tuesday, but you can have dinner 700 m away in the Dachsberger Hof (closed on the website, by mistake, also noted for Tuesday, Aug. 22).

Just beautiful here at the lake with many benches along the lake that invite you to linger. Just enjoy the view.

Not only for hiking, but also good for walking because of the flat path

The Amalienruhe, an idyllic vantage point on the Schluchsee shore, enchants with a beautiful lake panorama. A romantic "Bellevue Pavilion" was built on this characteristic rocky outcrop when tourism at Schluchsee was still in its infancy. According to tradition, the monastery pond was created as a fish pond for the monastery of St. Blasien. It is a popular destination, especially because of the neighboring Landgasthof Klosterweiherhof with its spacious lakeside terrace.
