Don't miss the Mostra del Relleno during the Festa Major de Sant Martí, where you can try the casseroles of this traditional dish of apples stuffed with meat. If we go on the first Sunday in October, we can enjoy the traditional popular walk along the best paths and corners around the municipality. Attend one of the bolillo meetings that take place throughout the year in the town, without a doubt the most deeply rooted and popular craft in the town since at least the 17th century. In Arenys de Munt, the local variety of d'en Roca cherries are grown, prized in the world of gastronomy in the area. Beyond the main nucleus of Arenys de Munt, there are also some scattered neighborhoods and urbanizations in the area, together reaching just over 8,700 inhabitants (2018). The traditional agriculture of yesteryear, the vineyard, has almost disappeared and, instead, we can currently find small plantations of the famous Maresme strawberry and cherry trees. The town, following the trend of all the towns in Maresme, has a deep-rooted tradition of summer vacations, and a certain amount of local tourism, with the service sector being the most developed. The relief of the municipal area of Areña, formed by the buttresses of the Coastal Mountain Range, is mountainous. Flat areas are scarce and are limited to the lower parts near the stream and the final stretches of the mountains. This geographical configuration of the area has fully conditioned the type and intensity of agricultural activity, as well as the areas where urbanization has been developed. The vegetation is made up, above all, of pine and holm oak forests, transformed by human action. Near streams and torrents, the landscape of riverside forest appears alternating with banana and poplar plantations. The main festive and cultural events of the municipality are the Festa Major de Sant Martí, around November 11; the traditional Bredes, deeply rooted festivals in the Arenys neighborhoods, throughout the month of July; the Festa del Remei, the weekend after Glory Sunday or Easter; the Festa de Sant Antoni Abad, with the traditional Tres Tombs; the Fira de la Cirera d'en Roca, on Saint John's Day, June 24, and the Santa Florentina Classical Music Festival, during the month of August.
