This bridge is located along the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal and connects the Purton area to the wider canal system. It is a swing bridge with a control room operated by a keeper to manage its movements. Beautiful route in the Forest of Dean. What is very exciting is the number of children and young people who, no matter what day of the week, spend time in the free trail park after school. Even parking is free. And there is good food there too. Simply different!
